Hello there! If you’re a mom of multiple kids like me, you know that life can be a chaotic whirlwind. Between school runs, baseball practices, and endless laundry, it’s easy to forget to prioritize ourselves. As a proud mom of five, I’ve always put my family first, but recently, I made a decision to carve out a little time just for me. Join me on the first 30 days of my journey with Beauty Society, where I explore the transformative power of skincare and makeup in the midst of my bustling mom life. (And if you want to give it a shot, you too can try out Beauty Society here!)
Skincare Sanctuary
Life as a mompreneur is a juggling act, especially when you’re managing not one but two businesses. It’s a rewarding endeavor, but let’s be honest – it takes a toll on your skin. Late nights and early mornings became the norm, leaving my skin feeling tired and dull. I realized it was time to invest in self-care, and what better way to start than with Beauty Society?
With five kids running around and two businesses demanding my attention, I needed a skincare routine that was efficient yet effective. After some research, I decided to dive into Beauty Society’s world and opted for the starter regimen tailored for maturing combination skin. The thought of adding eye cream to my routine seemed like a luxury, but hey, every mom deserves a little pampering, right?
A Palette of Possibilities
My makeup routine had become a rushed affair of just the basics – nothing. I hadn’t invested in anything other than a facial cleanser and rarely threw on some moisturizer before heading into the Florida sun. Opting in on some makeup offered me a chance to explore a palette of possibilities. I indulged in foundation, bronzer, highlighter, cheek stain, and mascara – a complete makeover for a tired mom in need of a pick-me-up.
Day 1 – The Beginning
Armed with my Beauty Society goodies, I embarked on my 30-day journey. The first day was all about excitement and anticipation. As I applied the products, I couldn’t help but marvel at the luxurious feel on my skin. Having real eye cream and silky moisturizer made me feel like I was at a spa at my own sink. Plus, the foundation provided excellent coverage without feeling heavy. And the cheek stain added a rosy glow that I hadn’t seen in years. I even got a comment during a Zoom call that I looked great. But even better, I felt great!
Finding Time for Self-Care
One of the challenges of being a mom of five is finding time for self-care. And while skin care only takes a few minutes, I had a really hard time remembering to wash my face before bed, or apply the eye cream both in the evening in the morning. Creating new habits was the goal and Beauty Society made it easy. The skincare routine took just a few minutes in the morning and evening, so after a week or so I got into the habit and remembered each of the steps. I wish I could say that the makeup was the same, but I did terribly here. It’s now 30 days in and I think I work it all of 3 times. So for this Mama, it was totally NOT worth the investment (but it did make me look better!).
Day 30 – A Radiant Transformation
Fast forward to day 30, and the results were in – a radiant transformation. The combination of the skincare regimen wonders on my skin with a huge impact on moisturization and shine. While you can still see my fine lines and wrinkles, it’s only been 30 days and there’s a huge change in the vibrance of my skin. It has given my complexion a more youthful glow that I love! And what I found most interesting was that after 30 days the makeup actually looked better when my skin was better. It went on more smoothly, covered far more of my fine lines and age spots and it made a real big difference. I know I’m not a model, and the results are likely better felt than seen, but I couldn’t help but post the before and after pictures!
Benefits of Skin Care
Beauty Society isn’t just about skincare; it’s about embracing a lifestyle that celebrates self-care. The journey taught me that taking a few minutes for myself each day wasn’t selfish – it was a necessity. It’s about recognizing that a happy, confident mom radiates positivity to her family and those around her. My 30-day journey was a testament to the transformative power of self-care. I encourage every mom out there to take a moment for themselves. After all, a little lipstick and mascara can work wonders, not just on your face but on your spirit too. Here’s to embracing radiance and the beauty that comes with being a mom on a mission!
